Calculate the heart rate in the ECG strip is simple, all you need to do is to divide 1500 by the R-R interval.
To calculate the R-R interval check on the EKG strip where the R wave is lying on one line in the big square. Then count the numbers of small squares until the next R wave. Then divide 1500 by the number of small squares and you have the heart rate.
Quick Heart Rate calculation:
1500 ÷ 10 = 150 bmp
1500 ÷ 15 = 100 bpm
1500 ÷ 20 = 75 bpm
1500 ÷ 25 = 60 bpm
1500 ÷ 30 = 50 bpm
