Ventricular Tachycardia is defined by a three or more beats originating from the ventricles with a rate greater than 100 beats / minute. On the ECG the QRS is enlarged (> 0.12 ). Most of the ECG in ventricular tachycardia is regular, however it may also present with some irregular rate.

Ventricular Tachycardia - What to look for

  • QRS complex abnormal morphology
  • QRS is more than 0.12 s
  • Heart rate is usually more than 100 and less than 200 beats per minute
